I'm a Japanese-to-English literary translator based in Yokohama. Most, but not all, of my work involves:

• realistic fiction,

• slightly speculative fiction, 

• philosophical fiction, and

• picture books ❤︎

I’m drawn to works from everyday life that nonetheless open up new ways of thinking and being, and especially those in which there is something beautiful or interesting about the language itself.
